Alexandra Burke: Wear Faux Fur or No Fur

With her record-breaking music sales, Alexandra Burke has proved to the world that she's got the X Factor, and now she's revealing that she also has a heart of gold by standing up for animals.

X Factor winner stars in new PETA Ad

In her new ad for PETA, shot by award-winning photographer Kevin Davies, the singing sensation bares her skin to help animals keep theirs. By going starkers, she's helping to expose the stark reality of the fur trade, in which animals are drowned, beaten, strangled, electrocuted and even skinned alive for coats, collars and cuffs.

Alexandra was overcome with sadness after watching  this eye-opening video about Chinese fur farms and decided to follow in the footsteps of fellow X Factor stars Rylan Clark and Simon Cowell by speaking out. "Ultimately, I love my body, so it was great to do something for such a worthwhile cause", she explained, while vowing never to wear real fur. Hallelujah to that!

Join Alexandra and Pledge Never to Wear Fur

I pledge to go fur-free and promise that I will never buy or wear fur coats, collars, trim, trinkets, cat toys or any other products made from the fur of animals.
