Chantelle Houghton knows a thing or two about raising temperatures wherever she goes. The 2006 Celebrity Big Brother winner and longtime animal lover stars in a brand-new PETA ad, asking, "Eating meat got you down?"
A regular in celebrity magazines and newspapers, Chantelle has been a vegetarian since an early age, and she stopped eating dairy products after reading the international bestseller Skinny Bitch. Chantelle knows that eating meat can increase the risk of suffering from impotence and that impotence sufferers with heart disease are twice as likely to die from heart attacks. At the unveiling of Chantelle's new PETA ad, Redwoods donated their delicious vegan hot dogs for supporters to hand out to the public.
What goes on the barbecue has a lot to do with what goes on – or doesn't go on – in the bedroom. The consumption of hot dogs, burgers and steaks can contribute to hardening of the arteries and slow the flow of blood to all the body's organs – not just the heart!
Viagra and other anti-impotence drugs may get you through the night, but a vegan diet can get you through your life! Cows, chickens and pigs shouldn't be treated as "meat machines" – they feel pain and fear just as intensely as you and I do. Animals on factory farms are kept in filthy, cramped conditions before they are violently killed for their flesh – all in order to provide consumers with cheap burgers, nuggets and other foods.
Eating meat is linked to high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, prostate cancer, prostate inflammation and hormonal imbalances, and these are the causes of the vast majority of all cases of impotence. The good news is that medical science suggests that all these conditions can be managed or in some cases even prevented with a low-fat vegan diet.
Pledge to Be Vegan
I want to eat better, feel better and stop supporting cruelty to chickens, pigs, cows, sheep and other animals who are raised for food. By signing my name, I pledge to go vegan – for animals, myself and the planet.
